A practical background
Hands-on experience built one job at a time
My practical property experience grew through renovating two Federation-era homes. That meant tackling the real work older homes need: fitting and repairing doors, timber repairs, cabinetry and trim, painting, restoration and external construction.
It taught me to look beyond the obvious fault, work carefully in an occupied home and find a sensible repair before recommending replacement. Those habits now sit at the heart of Home Gecko.

Before starting Home Gecko, I spent years in communications, web development and project leadership, including running my own business and coordinating complex client work.
